Mike FergusonThe Honorable Mike Ferguson is Chairman and CEO of Ferguson Strategies LLC, a government affairs and strategic business consulting firm based in Washington, D.C. Congressman Ferguson served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2001-2009, representing New Jersey’s 7th District.
In the House, Congressman Ferguson served as a member of the Energy and Commerce Committee, which has wide jurisdiction over the healthcare, telecommunications and energy industries. He was Vice Chairman of the panel’s Health Subcommittee and was a leader in the enactment of the Medicare Part D prescription drug benefit as well as several prescription drug and medical device user fee authorizations. He also previously served on the House Financial Services Committee.
Ferguson served as Co-Chairman of Chris Christie’s successful 2009 gubernatorial campaign in New Jersey, and after the election served as Chairman of the Treasury Subcommittee for Christie’s transition team. Congressman Ferguson in 2011 began service as Chairman of the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority (NJSEA), a position to which he was nominated by Gov. Christie and unanimously approved by the New Jersey Senate. He was also appointed a Senior Advisor to the 2014 New York/New Jersey Super Bowl Host Committee.
He also currently serves as Senior Fellow at the Center for Medicine in the Public Interest, on the Board of Directors for the National Italian American Foundation, on the Advisory Committee of the Center for Ethics and Culture at the University of Notre Dame, and as a member of the Communications Committee for the United States Golf Association.
A graduate of Delbarton School in Morristown, New Jersey, Congressman Ferguson attended the University of Notre Dame, where he received a BA in government. He received a Master of Public Policy degree from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
Congressman Ferguson and his wife, Maureen, have five children.
