NIAF Cultural Travel Program Revisits Italy’s “Treasured Cities of Campania” * Weekly Departures in October, November 2003 & February Through May 2004 *

(WASHINGTON, DC – July 1, 2003) The National Italian American Foundation (NIAF) continues its popular travel program to Italy with a series of nine days/seven nights tours of the Campania region and the Amalfi Coast during the months of October and November 2003 and February through May 2004. Costs range from $1,379 to $1,629 per person, based on double occupancy and month of departure. Tours will visit the treasured cities of Amalfi, Capri, Caserta, Naples, Paestum, Pompeii, Ravello, Salerno and Sorrento.

Participants receive round-trip airfare from NYC/JFK to Naples (via Milan or Rome) on Alitalia; seven nights’ accommodations at a four-star hotel on the Amalfi Coast (double occupancy); seven buffet-style breakfasts and seven dinners; and transfers to and from the airport and hotel. Other U.S. cities of embarkation at an additional charge are subject to availability and scheduling. The tour program, which has been sold out every year for the past seven years, is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants may choose from 21 departure dates beginning October 6,2003 through May 31, 2004. The travel program is partially supported by the Province of Salerno.

Three full-day escorted excursions to Amalfi/Ravello, Capri, Sorrento, and three half-day trips to Paestum, Pompeii and Salerno are planned. An English-speaking guide will escort each group.
