Rosolino Fontana and Francesca Messina were born in Tomasso Natale. They met and married in East Stroudsburg, PA. They had one son, Peter, my father, who  grew up in Brooklyn. He and his father had a fruit & vegetable market there. He married Maria Leone. They had 3 children.

Antonio Leone was born in Canicatti & Giovanna Cucchiara was born in Ribera. Giovanna came to America to marry Antonio after her first husband died. They had four daughters: Mary, Anna, Concetta, and Maria. They each married and had a total of 8 children. Those children had 17 children.

They all worked very hard to give their children a better life. Among their offspring are a psychologist, several priests, a nurse, several teachers, and a lawyer. My parents taught me the importance of treating everyone with kindness and respect, the importance of family and having meals together.
